This dance company was interested in refreshing their website to offer more visual interest, better organization of information, and ways to serve both prospective and existing clients. Also, the ability to create the site, and then pass it over to the client to update and manage, added an additional layer of complexity. We provided the site as well as training for the dance company staff.
There was a lot of information in a small area, and it wasn’t clear where to let your eye go, whether you were an existing or prospective new client.
The long-page layout was used to allow the company to provide a wealth of information to clients and prospects, while still keeping the look bright and easy. Staff at the company can now easily manage content, and the site is completely mobile-friendly.
Although the goal was catching attention and lead generation, content specifically aimed at existing customers was included. The page was a bit outdated, and there was no clear journey to accomplish various tasks.
After re-imaging the site and considering the client goals and customer journeys, the page was refreshed and updated, provided compelling data and thought leadership, and offers points to initiate conversations throughout.
This site was for a small engineering firm. The owner is brilliant, but very focused on engineering, and the original site read like an engineering manual. After consultation, we decided to take an image-driven approach, since the goal of the site was to catch clients’ attention and push contact. By giving the site an overhaul, employing some SEO strategies, and doing some low-investment marketing, he was able to greatly increase visibility, give his clients what they wanted - a quick overview and a way to reach him - and ultimately grow his business.
The old version provided the basics…and the mid-points and the details. Laden with text and with very little imagery or features/benefits information, users had to dig through to find out if this company could address their needs.
After gathering some feedback, it became clear that customers wanted one of two things: to get an estimate on a project they’ve already planned out, or to see images of previous work. By using this engaging, clean layout, users were easily directed to the information they most needed, without any work on their part.
This high-level, corporate summary package includes an overview, team bio sheet (not shown; contains personal information) and PowerPoint template. This suite was written and designed for high-level sales pitches totaling over $5M.
Feedback from the client was very positive, stating that these high-level, high-value materials presented a strong, knowledgable impression and introduced the client as a thought leader and industry expert.
This successful multi-touch campaign incorporated digital and print advertising, video, email and direct mail components to promote an intellectual property asset management service. Shown are video, email and print advertising. The client used this series of pieces to gain visibility and name recognition throughout 2014 and 2015.

This responsive site was built on Wordpress and created to enable ease of use both by briankahldesign and the client for agile, easy updates.
The World in 2025 campaign consisted of a high-level brochure and accompanying web presence. The brochure was distributed to all attendees of the 2014 Aspen Ideas Festival and was used as a companion piece to a presentation given by Thomson Reuters President of Intellectual Property & Science at the festival.
This piece also became a linchpin of the 2014 PR campaign for the Intellectual Property & Science business.
The Mona Pants Foundation is a non-profit that specializes in crowd-funding money to offset medical costs of dog rescue groups. Included here are three logo bugs created for the group. briankahldesign has also begun work building a website for Mona Pants to link social media, community outreach, a donation center and an e-Commerce component to further fund rescue efforts.
More details about the website and a ramped-up social media presence will be available soon as the project progresses.
We launched this Buzzfeed fundraiser and GoFundMe page to help offset the high costs of tuition for a young lady who attends a special school for children with autism. The GoFundMe launched first, and the Buzzfeed media push launched about 5 days later.
This project was scoped and completed pro bono. Within the first 24 hours of the Buzzfeed launch, donations had risen over 390%. That's the power of doing some good.
This is a series of posters designed for the EPO (European Patent Organization) trade show to promote top-tier products and promote brand recognition. The client, Thomson Reuters Intellectual Property & Science, wanted a series that was easily and immediately recognizable, that spoke to their brand, and that relayed top-level information and drew show attendees in with engaging imagery and headlines.
This ad promoted trademark payment, renewal and protection services, and ran in a number of industry publications and event programs in 2012/2013.
